To establish a centre for discovery and learning that brings together people from different backgrounds through the exchange of skills and knowledge as a model for regenerating the environment.

To learn about different aspects of stone in its place of origin and the sustainable use of the earth’s natural resources through an integrated approach to the arts and sciences – connecting geology, ecology, industry and culture.
